Dear Family and Friends,

We’ve had another crazy week. I can’t remember very much of it to be honest. We have been trying to use up the rest of the cow that we bought quite a while ago, so all of our meals this week have centered around a cut of meat that we needed to use. Monday night I realized that our meal was going to make way more than what we could eat, so we called a friend to come over with her daughter. (Her husband travels a lot and was out of town.) We had a great dinner and then a very simple FHE.

The rest of the week is a blur to be honest. Not a lot happening that is very noteworthy. Mostly me trying to balance, packing, caring for, and playing with children. Wednesday night was book club. We discussed Sarah’s Key. There was a huge thunderstorm that came through during the book club.

Friday for our family party we made hamburgers, and then we watched part of a special from Top Gear. (A BBC show about cars.) It was a special where they were racing across the Middle East. Kind of appropriate for our family.

Saturday morning I went out to garage sales with a friend. We found some great things. The rest of the day we spent working around the house. In the evening we went to a ward party. It was a potluck in the parking lot where we all brought blankets and chairs to sit on, while the kids played games in the field and parking lot. We had to do a major tick check on everyone after their baths and before bed.

Sunday was Fast Sunday and so M had no meetings. When M went in to get J in the morning he discovered that J had removed his pajamas, and his stinky diaper. The good news was that he didn’t finger paint with it, but there was still a mess to clean up. He’s in the stage where he would rather not wear clothes if possible… Church was great, although a little sad as it was our last Sunday. M will have one more week, but the rest of us will be gone by then. After church I worked on dinner items. We actually went to a friend’s house for dinner. I had some great cuts of meat that needed to be eaten, but our house is in no shape to host people. So I felt comfortable enough to say, “Can we come eat at your house if you cook this meat?” Thankfully she agreed. We had a great dinner, and then came home and got the boys ready for bed.

We love you all!

The Clark Crew
